Accessing Hotmail on a Intel Mac

It looks like the HTTPMail Plug in that enables Mac Mail to access Hotmail and MSN accounts using Apple Mail does not work on an Intel Mac. You need to manually force Mac Mail to run under emulation mode in order for the plug in to work.

There is no way that I am forcing any application to run under emulation mode. For now, I will access Hotmail via the web and transition my messages to my GMail account.

In case you want to run mail under emulation:

Open Application Folder
Command Click on Mail
Select Get Info
Check Open using Rosetta

Now your HTTPMail plugin will work. In my opinion, it is not worth it. Time to find a new plugin for Hotmail or to leave that account behind.
